There's a debate whether underscores are valid or not 😁. If you want/need to support it, you can relax the validation:

import { parseDomain, Validation } from "parse-domain";

const parseResult = parseDomain("_jabber._tcp.gmail.com", {
  validation: Validation.Lax,
});
