The linkArgoFiles script iterates through AOML's argo ftp data folder creating hard links to these files in locations that mimics GODAE's ftp argo data directory structure. Hard links allow multiple files to point to the same data avoiding the multiple copies. The original files can be deleted after the links are created and the data will not be lost. This script has to be run where the files are located so it runs on AOML's public ftp server.

This is an FTP program that can automatically upload files from a specified queue to an FTP server. The program can be configured to check the queue every X minutes. It was originally written to upload data from ships via an Iridium satellite connection but can be used to upload data over an established network connection. When using it on Microsoft Windows, it can dial using the Windows rasdialer, so long as there is an address book entry.
