Thanks @unicott for reporting this issue! Sorry to hear about your frustrations. The PayPal Android SDK shouldn't have any dependency on the strings.xml files, so this is indeed concerning.

Which version of the SDK were you using? Also, was our SDK the only part of your application that broke with the strings.xml issue, or were other libraries/activities affected too?

We'll attempt to reproduce the issue in the sample app. If you already have a repo that reproduces the issue and would like to share, please do so. Thanks!

@braebot I'm using the latest PayPal SDK – 1.2.0. I don't have any other 3rd party libraries, only Google support v4 library. I've uploaded the broken project there: https://github.com/unicott/PayPalSDKTestApp

Btw, for the record – I'm using the Android Studio 0.2.10.

@unicott - Although I have not tried to build and run your project yet, I did verify that the sample app works as expected with that character inserted into a string in the "strings.xml" file.

Please try version 1.2.1.

I'm going to close this as an old issue, but please don't hesitate to re-open this if the problem persists.
