FIrst, run the container.

Second, copy /app/public to host you can use the command: docker cp container _d:/app/public /public_path/in/host

Third, stop and remove the container.

Fourth, modify whay you want in /public_path/in/host, such as index.html, favicon and so on.

Final, run the container with: -v /public_path/in/host:/app/public

yeah, pretty much followed it word for word.
I created a new folder for the html and ran the following command to export the folder:
docker cp flame:/app/public . (you may need sudo)

I went in and deleted everything in the icons folder and replaced them with my new icons. (had to chmod them to be the same as the ones that were in there originally)

I had an image, used this favicon generator to create all the types the browsers expect.
