In this project an algorithm was developed to autonomously detect 3D weld seams on workpiece of any geometrical shape using Point Cloud Library. Further we used Neural Networks to trace the detected weld seam using a 5 DOF Robotic Manipulator. Other projects like autonomous_grasping using feature matching are also included.

Proposed and implemented a novel algorithm to control existing old laundry machines using smart phones and computers. Designed a custom PCB and Web-App for the hostel laundromats. University students can now check availability of machines from a distant place and also if their machine cycles are complete or no. Studied the internal hardware of the machines responsible for activation and status information and designed the PCB accordingly.

In this project we designed a drone and a raft system to contain huge oil spills. We use pretrained CNN model, feature matching using SIFT and SURF and Contour algorithms to effectively detect presence of oil. Raspberry Pi is used to control the motors of the funnel attached to the drone. Whenever there is presence of oil detected the funnel slit opens and Spill Sorb (oil absorbent) is sprayed over the oil region. Spill Sorb is a completely bio-degradable and eco-friendly material which adsorbs oil and makes it non-flammable. Later, a semi autonomous raft flows through water and collects the oil and spill sorb mixture.
