I understand why the idea of using Babel with Typescript can be confusing at first sight. Babel is a great tool for compiling javascript but also it's a great companion tool to Typescript development.

With Babel, you may easily manage the polyfills (https://babeljs.io/docs/en/babel-preset-env) in your project and you can utilize many useful babel plugins. (https://babeljs.io/docs/en/plugins). The powerful type checking and error checking features of Babel are also very helpful for Typescript coding.

hey, @omeraplak, Typescript also injects polyfills, introduces its runtime, including module handling, and produces code targeted to specific ECMA Script versions; how those relate to Babel ones? About type checking, I really can't see any improvement Babel can bring over TypeScript ... but anyway, thank you for your thoughts and for the articles
