Damn. Didn't know that it's been happening even earlier than that. I don't see the calling them out part though. Still, I wish you good luck with your work if this is plagiarism. Or if this is an attempt to get rid of competition, that's a big brain move. At this point, since this is already open sourced, it's going to be tough competition either way

very

I wish you good luck, but you won't win this race with hard coded clicks.

We're open sourcing an entire desktop application that actually works in Windows/Mac/Linux, and generalized agents using a new multi-modal model we trained to get precise clicks. Our Google demo uses a state machine and probabilities to solve it in a generalized way, but we have many more complex examples now that are mind blowing, including generating products. We didn't steal our research, and we'd be happy to share our significant progress with anyone interested in joining us. If you're truly interested in this idea, we're the bootstrapped startup that started during the pandemic to help everyone who was suffering rebuild online. This appears to be a well funded company ripping off startups and open source devs to do the work for them.

@rohanarun I'm just an open-source contributor helping to triage issues. This framework provides in interface to GPT-4v from OpenAI, allowing it to indirectly control the computer via its text responses. If you have an issue with that isn't directly related to this repository, you need to contact the owner regarding your concerns rather than opening Issues and harassing other contributors. Thanks.

Wow, but what gives you the right to steal our work? That's incredible and this is pretty blatant. The owners don't seem to respond to the claims so we are warning open source devs not to get taken advantage of. If they stole our work before we even open sourced it, how do you think they treat open source developers?

I'm not a contributor to this github, just part of the audience usually, but this seems earlier than the video. Early August is when this article came out, so it's been in the works even earlier than that. Stop spamming every issue

Our project was started in July 2022 before the chatGPT API was released, including public publications which we freely gave out and we intend to open source. What's concerning is they continue to steal the work without attribution. It took a year to train our new multi-modal model, and we've been working on agents since this post in July We've been working on this for over a year and we called them out on copying our launch in April as well, and our community has been aware of atlas-1: https://www.producthunt.com/products/cheat-layer#project-atlas-agents

We might be fine because they didn't actually succeed in copying it, and we had to gather the data to train a new multi-modal model to solve precise click coordinates. If you check the videos I linked, our model gets you precise click coordinates and we just had a breakthrough that doesn't require us to train even semantic targets, while if you check the code you can see they couldn't copy the underlying model so they had to hard-code the coordinates to copy our exact same google demo.

So Atlas-1 + our framework with GPT-4 Vision actually works like a generalized agent now that is able to take a precise click or keyboard action based on the current state. We're publishing in the coming days so this shouldn't impact us too much. I was trying to warn open source developers because it seems like this well-funded company copies our stuff constantly so imagine how they would treat open source developers.

@rohanarun make your repo open source and we will also contribute to it :))
500 lines of shit code was your research it's wired.
It got 4k star because of YouTubers . And they also introduce this library for more view , AI is trend :))

Thanks we're open sourcing our entire desktop application and the Project Atlas framework in the coming days so stay tuned. If you go back and track our launches and theirs, they have been blatantly ripping off our products for months. Yes I know they're "influencers" ripping people off, but they don't have the expertise to do it properly so the real danger is they scam open source devs into doing the dirty work for them. Stars and YouTube views don't actually solve the root problems, but we spent a year doing it properly with a new multi modal model that solves problems that break all automation tools like UIpath and Microsoft. Our agent is generalized now across many tests and we're very excited to launch it in the coming days. It even works iteratively to build products by confirming the output visually. We're actually growing constantly organically so we're doing well and possibly have more customers than them. I doubt a business that was doing well would be constantly stealing and tricking open source devs like this.

It seems like they're tricking open source devs into doing work for them now, so I'd recommend starting another project rather than letting these scammers take advantage of you. It's not that much as you noted.

They blocked my personal GitHub rather than taking responsibility or responding to the claims, which should speak volumes. We called them out on LinkedIn, Twitter, email, and now GitHub, but they don't respond and try to hide it under the rug so be careful.
