Update installed new hulu plugin 2.8.6 
Clicking on hulu and it loads but says login failed, the hulu plus login worked 
on previous version and have not changed the username and password

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable repo through installing from zip file.
2. Download FreeCable plugin.
3. Navigate through: Video -> add-ons -> Free Cable -> CBS -> Primetime -> The 
big bang theory -> Full Episodes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Be able to see all the full episodes for every season as shown in cbs.com (they 
all are available as of now)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
As of 7/31/2011 - Latest plug-in (apparently uploaded Aug 2010), XBMC Dharma 
10.1, Ubuntu Linux Lucid netbook remix edition (10.04)

Following the steps mentioned above I only see 4 episodes (11, 13, 16, 17) of 
the last season.

A) On Win7, open browser and go to www.hulu.com, click on a movie clip. It 
plays without any problem
B) On same machine, run XBMC, under Hulu addon, click the exact same movie as 
above, encounters an error. From the log, there is an entry "ERROR: 
RTMP_Connect1, handshake failed."

Just curious why it happens to have different results.

AUPS1 (Aqaua Unit Patrol Squad 1, the new name for Aqua Teen, even on Adult 
Swim's site) is not listed under comedy, though full episodes are posted on 
their site under the name.

They appear in the full episodes list, but are simply not automatically sorted 
to the appropriate show.

Similarly, I just noticed Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is in the same boat.

2. It appears to be retrieve the files and tries to initiate the install

Variably cache the lists from hulu so that browsing doesn't take as long.

(Possibly re-cache in background mode similar to a "look for new media" ?)

Under TV, things like "Popular TV", & "Recently Added" couldn't be cached for 
obvious reasons, but Channels / Networks, with refreshes maybe once a week / 
whatever. Alphabetical could be a permanent list, since the alphabet doesn't 
change.

Any ideas how to get this to work with Python 2.4.6 on XBOX version of XBMC?

If I remove all the lines to do with 
"and (xbmcplugin.getSetting(pluginhandle,"quality") == '0')"

It will play, but it stitches all the different quality streams together so I 
get three versions of every segment.

I can't seem to find a new api, so this might just be the end of the mtv plugin.

It seems like a favorites/bookmarks feature would be useful.  That way if a 
user watches a show often, they wouldn't have to navigate to it each time they 
go to watch another episode.

3. Try to play any item from the list, I focused on Y&R trying the various 
resolutions although it appears as though there is only 1080p content PIDs.

This issue may be related or a dup of issue 6. I opened this separate issue as 
in the description for issue 6 it states that you can "start one up" whereas I

I expect to be able to use and configure the plugin. The addon loads and the 
menus appear but when a filter is applied (recent, artist, a-z etc.) no results 
appear in the list. The addon settings page says that it is not available.

repo installed and updates should be automatic. Sorry I don't have the version

I encountered this problem a while ago but assumed that it was because I lived 
in the UK. I can't access Hulu or Netflix because I don't live in the US and 
until late April 2011 Vevo also wasn't available in the UK. Now that I can 
legitimately access the Vevo website I thought I'd try the plugin again but it 
still doesn't work for me.

Since Hulu is cleaning their Archive (many older series and/or seasons are 
missing now) I would love to see Fancast included to this as well. What do you 
think?

Is there any way for your plugin to "call" portions of the huludesktop app to 
allow hulu playback, perhaps tricking the hulu backend to allow streams, even 
if the huludesktop does not launch? If your plugin calls portions of the 
huludesktop to allow huludesktop to do all the decrypting, and then playback 
uses standard XBMC players for playback?

shows up in XBMC when you go under the directory "Guests"

If it helps, I rewrote the GUESTS function for my personal use.  Instead of 
scraping the guests page, I went straight to the feeds search since that is 
where the page gets its content from anyways and you already had the LISTVIDEOS 
function which did all the work.  I also included directories for going through 
the pages of search results since there are well over a thousand guest 
interview videos:

2. In the next window I can choose which quality level I would like the video

If I disable the proxy, then it can successfully list the episodes, but then I 
can't play any episodes (I'm in Canada).  I am able to stream the actual show 
with the proxy enabled.

In short, I have to disable the proxy to retrieve the list of episodes for a 
show, then enable the proxy to actually stream the show.

In order to get the hulu plugin running on xbox you need to change the 
resources/lib/addoncompat.py line 15 from
__addon__ = xbmcaddon.Addon(os.path.basename(os.getcwd()))

to:

The issue is when loading the preview images it runs very slow on xbox because 
it needs resize them all.

A: I don't see any version number. It's the file 
"repository.bluecop.xbmc-plugins.zip". Operating system is Windows 7 x86 and 
x64.

A: Strangely ESPN3 is the only stream that works for me, but only after I 
replaced the default.py by the modified one provided by dahlSTROM. However, 
none of the replays available are working. They are buffering awfully slow and 
then the stream suddenly ends.

As for the other plugins I think it might be a problem that my current 
residence is Germany. Is it possible to watch these streams outside the US at 
all?

this is more of a request, i would like to be able to see playlists created on 
hulu.com

I'm using the context menu to assign individual shows as Favorites.  That works 
- the entry is added to Favorites.  However - when you select the Favorite, it 
starts to load but then an error message pops up noting the script failed (see 
attached screencaps)

Also attached the latest XBMC log file - let me know if you need anything else.

About a week ago, it would play fine.  Now It pops up saying opening stream, 
then this quickly disappears and the user is brought back to the episodes menu. 
 Video does not play.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using xbmc 10.0 on Fedora 14 and FreeBSD 8.2, both OS's show same problem.

As noted in my recent posts to your XBMC thread - CBS shows aren't showing up 
in the Add-on.

Several (Hawaii 5-O for example) have nothing listed while some of the soaps 
(didn't see this in the Primetime shows but didn't look at all) list 
"false(clip)" instead of the Episode#/name etc.  The Thumbnails are pulling in 
and you can cross reference them to the CBS site in many cases or if "feeling 
lucky" start one up to see if it's a full episode - but no way to tell what the 
chronological order is.

Understand from your XBMC post that CBS is transitioning it's website content.  
Let me know if you need anything else.  Screencaps attached.

2. Click Replay - By Sports or Replay - Previous 10 Days

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected is the list. I see a script error "Script failed in plugin.video.espn3"

Everything worked fine until this morning. Live stream still working. Maybe 
they update(d) the replay servers.

I am not able to play any Videos :/ after selecting the desired quality nothing 
happens.

XBMC Dharma 10.1 (did not try your plugin on earlier xbmc releases)

2. Playback Spike,CBS,
3. Only Classic Movies and Home sources work

The screen looks great. I have a pic in bottom rt hand corner, dlg box shows 
download, BAckground shows  scene of movie/show

4.33 JB iphone 4, ipad and Apple TV all do the same EXACTLY. Season Pass for 
ATV, Green poison on ipad-phone Curent Bluecop. 


Please provide any additional information below. I get a message when download 
of show is finshed that says..One or more items failed to play..see log 
file..then it shows a lotta stuff about hashlib, sha, etc. BTW this is log from 
ipad, but it could have come from the ATV too. They behave the same.

Looking at the code for the Scifi.py the video player for Scifi is pointing to 
a page that no longer exist.  I think you need to change the reference to 
scifi.com to syfy.com

Testing on other shows, seems to only affect fringe (vs human targe) but I'll 
keep testing.

Is there anyway to show your Hulu subscriptions when using your login info with 
the plugin. I know you can add TV series to your favorites and get similar 
functionality, but it would be nice to have subscriptions under the submenu if 
it's even possible.

is it possible to make a request for an animefreak(or something better) plugin?
