Error when Signing in about contrib-hub HOT 10 CLOSED

I have this error to, but works great on development (localhost). Tried revoking from github to authorize again, authorization worked but still had the We're sorry, but something went wrong.

We surpassed the limits for our free heroku instance. we reached the max number of database rows on the free postgresql instance

@acrogenesis @lhaig @gomayonqui I'm ok with paying for a DB upgrade but probably that's not the best choice in the middle/long term, would love to hear suggestions/ideas

I use DigitalOcean with dokku (https://github.com/progrium/dokku) there's a One-Click install on DigitalOcean and it's just $5. Not sure if it's better thank Heroku DB upgrade $9. Both are scalable easily. Depending on the load and traffic i could host it for free on my DO 'droplet' (I have 2GB package)

The dokku/DigitalOcean solution seems reasonable, it's unlikely anything will go wrong but in the event that it does you'd have no pg-specific support from DigitalOcean. But for the $4 you might get more peace of mind + pg:backups.

There are daily backups for $1 on the $5 package. This backups are images so going back is extremely easy.
I've been almost a year at DO and only had a problem with the server once and was my fault :p

I can't say much myself.

I have only used the Heroku free tier myself and nothing I have used has
ever reached a limit.

Do we need to donate to help pay the costs?

Guys, I just paid the heroku PG upgrade as a temporary measure, the site is growing and pretty soon we're going to need background jobs to synchronize repos, stats and generate open source cards to summarize user contributions, I'll ask heroku (and/or others) to check if they want to sponsor this cause, otherwise we will migrate to Digital Ocean at the end of the month, which seems to be the coolest/affordable option. 😸
