Alright! We now have a venue. Thank you, Bigchain. I look forward to meeting you all at Chausseestr. 19, 10115 Berlin.
Still looking around for talks. :)
from welcome.
I'll give a talk about the history, present and future of OrbitDB, an overview of where we are as a technology and community :) May add another quick talk on the details of the future plans, depending on if available slots.

I think my very pregnant partner would prefer the week before 😅

11th is better for me.. in the 10th I could only come around 20h. Anyways see you around!
from welcome.
Turns out the 11th is better for all of us, @hsanjuan - the 10th appears to be a public holiday, and we're having some issues finding a space.
So! I've talked to all of the people above, I believe, and switching it to the 11th seems to make the most sense. I'll change the title now. :)

Should it be a shorter retreat, maybe an extended weekend trip? Travel Friday, socialize Saturday + Sunday, main even Monday and travel home Tuesday?
from welcome.
Ah: There's a p2p meetup on the 11th, so perhaps we could have it on either side of that. The 10th or the 12th would work, too. If people like, I could set up a GitHub poll.

That sounds pretty awesome to me, too. Maybe the 14th-17th or so? Or were you thinking the week before?

I have another engagement on the 13th but can make June 10-12
from welcome.
I can make it on any of those dates, 10th would work the best 👍 Will give a talk or two depending on the rest of the agenda, and happy to also adapt the talks to what people would like to hear (about OrbitDB) 😃
from welcome.
I can make it anything between 10-13th of June.

Sweet. Seems like the 10th would be best for everyone. @aphelionz We'll likely be in the city for a bit before hand, but I think the weekend events are better left unorganized to allow for organic movement.
I'm working on finding a place for a meetup on the 10th.
from welcome.
Cool. If it were the 10th I would plan on coming in that Friday before and leaving the day after.
from welcome.
Note to all: I looked into setting up a Meetup and an Eventbrite, and I think the overhead and cost is largely unnecessary for us. If you are interested in coming, this is the only attendee list. Share this issue around. :)

@RichardLitt if you'd like to use the ipfs community meetup group for this let me know
from welcome.
I've also agreed to do a talk but am struggling with content. What do folks think would be compelling? I can tailor the content around that feedback

@RichardLitt I don't know your email so wrote you on twitter.

Thanks @hsanjuan. Posted! https://www.meetup.com/berlin-ipfs/events/262150765/
@aphelionz An introduction to OrbitDB might be a nice idea, in case anyone is new.
from welcome.
Thank you everyone for coming. :)
