Is there any example or steps documented that can be referred to create ElasticInstance and Kibana CR instances, as I suspect we could be missing something

@Abu0108 do you have the cluster logging operator installed as well? we recommend using that if you are going to be deploying elasticsearch for logging

We dont have CLO installed in this namespace as shown in above screen shots, our objective is to use this elastic and kibana instance for tracing.

It would be very helpful if you could point us few CR instance examples that can provision Elastic and Kibana both pods.

Thanks in advance

@ewolinetz @huikang Can you have a look and help here? Thanks.

ewolinetz avatar ewolinetz commented on September 24, 2024

@abu-2020-ghub did you check the elasticsearch operator logs? it is likely that you do not have the required secrets for kibana/kibana-proxy.

Normally CLO creates these so that all components can communicate and mutually trust one another. However, if you are looking to do this strictly in a dev manner, you can use the make target deploy-example-secret, just ensure that your kibana and elasticsearch CRs are in the namespace openshift-logging
