Chat commands are prefixed with $$ make sure you're using that, so to give the command add player you'd need to type $$add player into chat

Yes remotes have a range, so cross dimension is out of range.

Yes, i can contorl AE Spacial stuff with ComputerCraft when i'm at overworld, And I sure prefixed with $$, so i can use $$warp in overworld. only problem is no way to back if i alive in AE Spacial. (Different Dimension, not the teleport only; teleport only is still work with my code).
(Note. $$warp command do load/unload space with storage. like toggle.)

EVENT chat_command are fired if i say $$something in overworld, but i can't send command to computer if i in nether or the end or other dimension (storage dimension).
SCREEN UPDATE are always work on any dimension. so no problem.
(Ex. I use Plastic for test with this problem. when i in the storage (different dimension), the time is still going so i can know what time is now. but can't send command like $$= 1+1)

Well MiscPeripheral's ChatBox are another way to control computer if i in another dimension. It can receive message even if i in different dimension. (but that can't send message to me, while screen update are possible with glasses)
