This is meant to be part of the task search? Or in a 'compare datasets by properties' view?
There is a list of properties for each dataset in the detail view:
http://openml.org/detail/type/dataset/name/iris > Data Properties
But I guess you want to compare datasets based on this, maybe even select them, and then include them in a task search?
Cheers,

The latter. I want to see a table of the most important properties, so I can eyeball them.

Yes, something like this. Searching on the webpage would be very nice. But also want the properties as a big table per API call so I can search them in R.
Here is an example query:
"Show me all data sets (well, their names and properties in an overview table) that have >= 10K observations, no NAs and exactly 2 classes."

Shall we close this issue? I think the Elastic Search functionality covers this issue pretty well :)

What is the current URL I am supposed to use? Always openml.org?
-
Where do I see a table of data sets and their characteristics?

Currently, both openml.org and openml.liacs.nl point to the same (production) server. Use whichever you like, I would suggest Openml.org.

OpenML features:
- A list of all datasets: http://www.openml.org/d
- Per dataset a list of all their features: http://www.openml.org/d/61 (Click show more)
- A way of searching / selecting datasets, based on these features: http://www.openml.org/search?q=&type=data (click on "filters").

Neither of those is what I really want
- The search mechanism is great.
- The problem is the overview on the right hand side. Cant this be like a table?
We are wasting so much space regarding columns and rows. I would like to have
one row per data set and named columns. Is this possible?
from openml.
This is very outdated and we have nice api calls now.
Do we have a "table" on the webpage which can be sorted for data sets?
This is basically the only thing which is missing here.

is this covered in the new server version? you demod this in bournemouth
If so please close here if you want
