Remove the black front panel first. You'll probably leave some marks since it requires some effort to get the glue to detatch.

Seems there is no wired ethernet (I am not sure), if so, development will be difficult.

It uses the Xiaomi China server only and performance at Europe is not sufficient. The stream sometimes takes too long to load on their own app, and Google Home integration does not work. Besides I've destroyed the plastic case.
