Not getting back activity id for POST call on sending a message about botbuilder-microsoftteams HOT 1 CLOSED

The service "splits" certain kinds of activities into multiple messages, and you're running into that:

• activity with text + attachment (card) = 1 message w/ text only + 1 message with card only
• activity with attachments (cards) in list layout = multiple messages, 1 for each card

In these cases, you'll see the service return a 202 status code with no activity id in the response, because the request generated multiple messages.

Here are some ideas that might work for you, depending on your scenario:

• You could send each bit separately as an individual activity: that way you get the IDs of each piece, and you can update or delete each one.
• If you can live with updating just the card, in response to a button click on it, then you can use the replyToId property in the activity that's generated by the card button. This will contain the id of the message with the card, which you can then update or delete (note that this will only affect the card, since it's in its own message).
