Firstly, thanks for taking the time to enquire regarding the licensing for SimpleChatChannels.

You're free to modify the code as you please, for personal use.

I'm interested to see what changes you've made, as I've been looking to make some updates to SimpleChatChannels myself which would make it function even more like an IRC Server. Perhaps if your changes are heading in the same direction we can collaborate on some updates. :)

Sure, of course. Sounds like our plans are quite similar then. You can check out my code in my fork here on github.
I commited my inital changes yesterday at nsg@e4317d6 and I will probably add/change more the coming days. It is not to well tested atm but most of the code is still yours so it works well :)
