Copy your client.ovpn config file from the server into 'C://Programs/OpenVPN/config/', now right click on the icon from openvpn in window's context menu and select "connect".

so the client.ovpn is a certificate file? Thanks.

It's every file you need for connecting crushed into one single file which can be used by openvpn to connect to your server.

Awesome thanks. Turned out I needed to use the openVPN app, which had an import option for that file. Thanks for the quick reply.

In the future, please don't open issues asking for support. This is not a support forum and this wasn't a issue with the script.

@Nyr Initially the idea behind the issue was to add documentation on how to connect after running the script. Since I am new to openVPN, I didn't realize that there were specific openVPN app functionality you could use those files for.
I still feel that some documentation would be good on how to use the files produced.

There are plenty of tutorials you can easily find on Google for whatever platform you need.

Great, then it wouldn't be hard to link to one of them, or write a quick paragraph that explains that the .ovpn file can be used by the various openVPN applications to connect.
The script is very well done, the documentation on what the script actually does for you missing. It took quite a while of googling to find out that openVPN could even import premade .ovpn files. After I figured that out, thanks to the tip from shawak, it was really to get set up. Which could have all been skipped by adding 1 sentence to the README.MD

I assume you know what the fuck OpenVPN is when you are running a script called openvpn-install.
No further documentation about this will be added.

No need to get angry man, and you don't think its possible that new users to openVPN would check out a script that sets it up for them?
More documentation never hurts, nice work on the script, but your aversion to documentation makes me think you need to review some of the principles of creating usable and maintainable software.

I went ahead and wrote some documentation:
- Run the install script.
- Install OpenVPN on target computer.
- Import config from install script.
- Connect to server.
Done.
