This was discussed on 09-Feb-2023 by @nvs-vocabs/avtt, and it is deemed to need further discussions before implementing.
To note:
- As the NVS does not support 'obsolete' (i.e. concepts are either 'current' or 'deprecated' - but it is a base functionality of the NVS, and it is not done through mappings).
- One solution would be to create a new collection to map to sensor models in R27.
- The current/deprecated/obsolete distinction would be useful as 'obsolete' sensor models get rejected by the GDAC file checker.
Current concerns:
- SENSOR_MODEL is only present in the meta.nc file; if this rule were to be applied, DACs run the risk of having their meta.nc files rejected if they had to re-submit a meta.nc file containing an 'obsolete' sensor model.

Following the latest AVTT meeting (https://github.com/nvs-vocabs/ArgoVocabs_Meetings/blob/main/AVTT_meetings/2023-05-30-agenda.md), this action item was considered reduntant. Action is no longer needed, and will thus be closed.
