I have the following two questions:
- Is it normal for performance to decrease as the number of GPUs increases within a single pcie switch? Does this phenomenon stem from insufficient PCIe switch forwarding capacity?
- Why does performance degrade more severely when adding network cards and crossing nodes? At this point, network performance should not be the bottleneck of the system(2*100GE = 25GB/s). However, in reality, with 3/4 GPUs, the bandwidth is only 11GB/s or even less, not fully utilizing a single network port.
