vnc_auto.html not working?! about novnc HOT 4 CLOSED

I think the difference may be the fact that vnc_auto.html is incorrectly defaulting to encrypted sessions. If you hadn't generated a certificate for the proxy, then connections would fail.

I've pushed an update to disable encryption by default in vnc_auto.html too. You can pull down the change, or add encrypt=0 to the URL query string to see if it's the problem. If it doesn't resolve your issue then please reopen the bug.

Hi,

I had already tried adding encrypt=0 to the query string, without success. I've just pulled the latest change and it still doesn't work.

I've even stopped my proxy and fired up wsproxy to prove to myself that it's not my proxy that's causing the problem and I still can't make vnc_auto.html work.

Is there any logging I can enable somewhere? I've uncommented the firebug stuff but i've no idea where to start with its output.

Oh wait. This is very odd, I just tried again, without changing anything at all and now it works?! All I did was respond to this and try again and it worked! Very odd.

Well, glad you got it figured out.

I explain how to turn on debugging in the README. Note that once the client is connected, key strokes are sent to the target and not to the browser so you have to activate the debug tool first or use a menu option.
