"use strict" + Cappuccino + last version of Gecko = fail about novnc HOT 11 CLOSED

I could be convinced, but I'm not yet. If you're running with a browser that actually supports "use strict" and something is breaking, then there is a strict violation in noVNC that needs to be fixed.

What does "last version of Gecko" mean specifically.

Can you perhaps post a simple test case that fails?

Well it doesn't come from noVNC but my need to not put var before declaration of RFB, Canvas etc. Wich seems to break because of use strict.

I've notice that on seamonkey last alpha and minefield last alpha

primalmotion, is there an easy way I can download and test this? Archipel itself is not available, but perhaps you have (or could easily create) a simple test case that reflects the problem.

I would like to resolve things so that you don't have to keep merging all over the place when I update things. And it's advantageous to me if you are testing less divergent noVNC code.

The sample contains the last revision of VNCCappuccino and a ready to use Demo application that use it.

Just launch the index-debug.html or index.html from DemoApp and it should work out of the box.

The Cappuccino Framework is embeded and everything should be OK, but if you want to modify something in VNCCappuccino, you'll have to rebuild it, and to do that, you'll need the development environment.

If you have any problem/question, do not hesitate to jabber/mail me.

Note that this will not work with FF current release. I do not support Flash WebSocket (because I hate Flash). So please use Safari, Chrome or FF Nighlties.

What Jabber server?

When I load up index.html or index-debug.html, it loads several files and then tries to load DemoApp/Frameworks/Debug/VNCCappuccino/Resources/Info.plist which is not found. Perhaps it got missed in the zipped file?

I'm going to close this bug. I think we are at a place where there shouldn't be any merge hassle (your code will just need 'RFB =' but the "use strict" should work. If you disagree feel free to re-open the bug and we can explore it some more.

BTW, any progress on cleaning up and pushing the multi-connection version of the proxy?
