agreed that we should support port forwarding through intents sent by other
apps, and
maybe from desktop shortcuts. (so without need for shell)
for example, a future mail app might send an intent to open the tunnel in the
background with an sshkey.
we definitely need to create a permission of our own to hand out to other apps
who
want to use this. otherwise, malish person could launch intent to their box
that
always accepts incoming ssh connections, port forward mail ports etc from
localhost
on the android device. then later, when a legit app tries to forward that
port, if
we dont return an error correctly, they might use the compromised forwarded
port.
the one additional thing to think about here is desktop shortcuts. if you want
to
open a tunnel with a desktop shortcut, we cant give our "special" permission to
the
homescreen app. we might instead put an "extra" in that shortcut with a shared
secret to prove that the intent is really coming from the desktop.
