I think that you already handle this. I was confused between the Payment::Request and the Payment::Recurring. The request no longer uses AMT but the recurring does. I see that you do the proper mapping.
There is another important note however. You use the mapping of :amount for both the request and the recurring, but they are different. The request :amount maps to the total (including shipping and taxes); whereas the recurring is the amount BEFORE taxes and shipping. I will open a new request on this.
