TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable on macos m1 about easyclangcomplete HOT 5 CLOSED

This is really strange... 🤔

Seems the error is this one:

Executable file not found executing: ['cmake', '-DCMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS=ON', '/Users/miguel/src/prototype']

So it looks like it can't find cmake. I have for now no idea why the update to the next version could lead to this. I don't think I touched anything related to this functionality but I will try to check the changelog in case I missed smth. 🤔

I've compared the releases from here: 6.5.1...6.5.2

I see no changes that could cause this. Could you maybe try to remove your temporary folders in which ECC generates its CMake build, restart Sublime Text and see if the problem persists? It looks like it cannot find CMake, is it available from your command line?

Oh I see! I added to config the path of cmake from homebrew like this:

  "cmake_binary" : "/opt/homebrew/bin/cmake",
}

And now it works fine. I had to reinstall brew and noticed that I had to add the following line to my .zshrc

eval "$(/opt/homebrew/bin/brew shellenv)"

So maybe something changed in how homebrew manages the path and sublime text can't find this config.

Maybe this path could be added to the default ones to look for cmake?

Yeah, I might do that eventually. In the end I do aim for the out of the box experience.
