Hi,
If the problem persists even after setting up the x11 server, this usually has to do with a firewall getting in the way when it comes to clipboard access and the X server. A few folks have mentioned that.
Personally I don't run Windows firewall or any other software firewall tools, but if disabling it isn't an option you may want to follow the WSL firewall access steps here https://skeptric.com/wsl2-xserver/.
