You're missing the submit
button. Blur only works with inputs. You can use the blurPredicate:

Since the migration to the new material mdc component, the errors are not shown correctly anymore:
in the example of @NetanelBasal
I had to use something like:
control-error {
display: inline-block;
}

I also encountered this problem and did the same thing. If there was a way to get rid of the control-error element that the lib inserts would be much better
from error-tailor.
