What output do you get from cat /etc/network/interfaces and ifconfig?

And thanks for reporting!

enoch85 avatar enoch85 commented on July 22, 2024

But still, if it didn't work with auto IP what was the issue so that I can solve it?

cketan avatar cketan commented on July 22, 2024

i have installed the pre-build VM on hyper-v, VM has taken auto IP as 192.168.1.108 and windows server has assigned the IP in Virtual network as 192.168.1.102 due to both system miss configuration VM has unable to connect to internet then I have assign the manual IP in VM as 192.168.1.102 then it is able to access the Internet.

Ok, so it got an IP, then there isn't a problem with the VM then. Good to know anyway. :)

Try to set it manually in /etc/network/interfaces and remove "bash ip.sh"
from both nextcloud_install_production.sh and nextcloud-startup-script.sh

Then run the install script.

I have the same problem kind of. The interface ens33 tries to find a dhcp
server on network 192.168.2.1, at least thats what it looks like. My
gateway is 192.168.1.1 tho. Not really familiar with interface
configuration in ubuntu and kind of stuck without network =)

@ezraholm50 negative. In that folder I only have history, instruction, nextcloud_startup and setup_secure....

from vm.

enoch85 avatar enoch85 commented on July 22, 2024

Once you run the first setup, the install script gets deleted.

Enable DHCP in your router and make sure your hypervisor is set to bridged mode, download the VM again and start over.
