Lemme check what happens here @max-nextcloud

update: Interesting... i don't get a notification either. I would have expected to get one as a way of adding this to my inbox.

Do you have the notifications app installed locally?

Ah... I see how my comment was confusing. I just tried notifications for self-mentioning on github to see how other systems handle this as I am not sure if notifying oneself is a bug or a feature.

This is a funny one.

For Talk, it's a feature as-is (usually). There's even a dedicated room for talking to yourself now.

But for typing up a document, if I am writing for an audience rather than a note to myself, I can see how I might want to say something like "message me @joshtrichards if you have any concerns" but I wouldn't want to get notified about that.

Let's invert the question: Are there any use cases in documents where one might want to get notified when referencing themselves?

If not, this change makes total sense.
