everblu-meters's Issues

date of production 12/2022 => production year 23

Not really an issue but maybe it helps anyone else:
My meter has date of manufacture 12/2022, but serial starts 23-00xxxxx…

i entered 22 as production year in config but meter did not respond. Then i tried 23 as production year in config and connection was established.
On the picture i see these two match but in my case they dont, and 23 (first part of serial) was the correct number to enter.

Wrong values when not in range

Tested on RPi3, it works fine.
I've noticed that it reports 8 as the meter value in meters when not in range and as a very high integer value when range is bad.

How to compile the code

Hi,

first of all thank you for that project. Hopefully i am able to get it running. I am currently working on the setup and have some questions.

  1. I've installed WiringPi via NPM. Is it just to install it or is additional configuration necessary?

  2. Which application is needed to compile the code? I tried Arduino but just after opening the tool its complaining that only .ino and .pde files can be opened?

Please support me with the compiling step!

Thank you in advance!

Possible mistake in documentation (Raspberry Pi GPIO pin)

Hi there, I'm struggling to get this working so I'm looking forward to clarify this and remove another variable for my testing.

in the documentation it is stated the following:

pin 11 (GPIO0 ) to pin 3 (GDO0)

However pin 11 on the Raspberry Pi header seems to be GPIO17, not GPIO0. Is this the right pin to use, if so the documentation might need to be updated.

Thanks.

Porting to ESPHOME

Hello,

Thank you very much for this project, would it be possible to adapt it to ESPHOME?

Thanks

The pi doesn't send the information to mqtt

Hello,

I have installed the program and I can read the value of the consumption index. However, I can't see anything in my MQTT broker (installed via mosquito). I don't see any error lines or problems in my configuration. Where can I look for more information (logs..)?
