To clarify, the main branch does not automatically deploy to the servers at nerves-hub.org, there is an approval step that is pressed to deploy a commit point on main to those servers as well as a separate approval step for deploying to staging for integration testing. This shouldn't hinder the use of the main branch for committing PRs.

Right, the purpose of this change is to avoid any PRs from being deployed on nerves-hub.org. We could also do it the other way and have a next branch.
We're keeping nerves-hub.org on until March as a convenience to Very customers and Very has moved on development to a private fork of nerves_hub_web for Peridio. Many of us are still using nerves_hub_web and would like to push the code base forward. However, we don't want to support nerves-hub.org regressions should there be any.
