so to do something like this again you would have to use other information like:

• sound
• differences in air (air vs. cave air or void air)
• abusing some trident loyalty bug (if you can spoof the thrower of the trident somehow)
• phantoms

(thats at least some scenarios that i could think of while going through the 1.13 changes)

another thing to try is maybe blockinteractions and stuff and see if that changes anything in the way the server responds (or if it even works at all)

They could yes, but ultimately it was the packet size changes hause made that ruined them. It's a universal fix.
