Installation Error 2.0.2.966 about adfsmfa HOT 4 CLOSED

Can you send us more complete informations.

The problem seems related to the internal messaging system (communication between servers), or related with the connection to ADDS or SQL. The system is using Mailsots to send notifications.

• Which version of windows server do you use ?

• How many ADFS Servers in your Farm ?

• Output of Get-MFAComputers and Get-MFAConfig

• Output of Get-MFAConfigADDS an Get-MFAConfigSQL

• Detailled errors related forom the EventLog

• Does the MMC launch correctly or crash ?

• Does MFANotificationHub start as well ?

• Does yours ADFS Servers have multiple network cards ?

-We're on Windows Server 2016 (Farm upgraded from 2012 R2).

-We're in DEV right now, so only one ADFS and one WAP (we've had two ADFS Farms in the DEV domain, but the other Farm has been removed, so only one left now).

Hi,

Ok,
When we disable NetBios over tcp-ip. we run the same problem.
Mailslots cannot be delivered in this case.

You must choose de Default option for netbios on tcp-ip stack.
At this time, it seems a prerequisite. It's required for Windows Mailslots.
Mailslots can broadcast small message on the lan or for specific machines (that's we do betwwen ADFS servers).

Let us know if the problem disappear.
