First, I don't distribute binaries, so I have no idea what's in the zip file you are referencing. That said, it seems quite old. You should clone the code from this repo and build it yourself to get the latest version.

Show the stack trace and maybe try with Java 7.

Can't reproduce with JDK 8_25. Make sure that you have installed the policy files correctly and you are actually using that version (there might be more than one JDK/JRE installed on your machine).

java -version shows 1.8.0_25, but jre7 is still on hard disk.
So may be as per your readme.txt I have to put the two jar files into jre7 as well.
Anyway the link I used was http://sourceforge.net/projects/adbextractor/.
Will try the method you propose.
