Can you explain a bit more what you mean with steps 2-4?
For me doing step 1 does exactly what you desire: it adds all music files in the directory to the playlist. But maybe if you explain what error you see in step 4 (and how you get there) I could confirm it.

In step 2, press 2 to see all the archives of the library with the names of the music bands,. Press enter in any folder. Within the folder of the music band select several CDs to add to the playlist with right click. On the playlist screen each CD will appear twice.
Step 4 is not important. It refers that following the previous steps the error on the Playlist screen will appears.
