Since I think this decision should be left to players (Some may not want to start researching stuff halfway through the addon), I put this up as a suggestion on the Slimefun discord to see what others think.

Suggestion passed, I will add this... sometime in the future. Also, even though it got enough upvotes, I'm not sure how people would feel about having all their FM stuff suddenly being locked.

Closing this since the addon has quite a few items already.
If anyone still really wants this feature, please open a new issue and I will try to implement this as a config option.
