With the greatest respect intended, I couldn't disagree more strongly. Ideally it would be nice if there were color parameters somewhere so users could choose them to their hearts' content. One thing I do not want is an interface where I'm forced to look at pale cyan text in a screaming bright white background. Any color text on 000000 black background has infinitely more contrast and is much easier on older eyes, cheap monitors, and suboptimal lighting conditions. Its no fun looking for polar bears in a snowstorm and making them cyan or light green doesn't help much. Mining rigs are not about aesthetics. They are about high performance hashing with clear, easily read information being presented. Now that my rant is complete, I'd say please present the user with parameters in the setings file, but only if it is straight forward and doesn't distract from finding ways to improve hashing performance in an already excellent product. :-) Great tool! Thanx Claymore for building it. :-)

Thanks for bumping the thread @foxpup.
My point wasn't that white is perfect and cyan is my favorite text color.
My point was that this grey background (and text, as a whole) is fugly as hell and even a simple change in code to make it white would be 100% better.
I would love to see it any other color with the color of the text changed too. But just changing the background is one line in diff. Maybe that would motivate the author (thanks @nanopool & Claymore) enough to change it.

@alesrebec I'm glad you took my comment well. :-) You kind of hit a live wire with me personally. I spend WAY too much time in front of the screen and old/tired eyes frequently struggle with horrendous graphical interfaces. Some times its a good thing there is some distance between myself and the people who think a pale grey text box frame in a bright white background is a good idea. Its a sad truth that many don't have young, well rested eyes and cannot afford super high contrast OLED-like monitors in perfect viewing conditions. Its even sadder when those who do have such monitors/eyes/conditions also develop interfaces and forget about the existence of those who don't. It could also be that I'm bit punchy after getting up at 3 a.m. when a local power outage shut down all mining for me and caused me to loose way too much sleep. (Went to bed at 12:30). :-) Need to take naps between loads of laundry. (speaking temporally, not spatially :-) )
