Hi, thanks for the comment! (and sorry for the delayed response) Could you be more specific about the rules that you would like to see? In the meantime I'll try out CCZE myself.
There are some generic rules, like email highlighting, that are indeed a nice idea, I'm going to add those to the plugin.
Keyword based rules on the other hand are a bit risky to add since I'm trying to keep this log viewer generic (not specific for Linux log files like syslog/messages), so apart from some very common words (ex. ERROR) I think it's better to allow each user to configure special keywords for their specific usage.
Maybe this process of adding new keywords could be simplified in this plugin via configuration variables rather than having to directly add VIM syntax rules in your own vimrc.

Some months ago I added some rules for Syslog, which I think covers the use case of reading syslog files. I'm closing this due to inactivity, if you have some more changes that you'd like to see feel free to comment here and I'll re-open this (or feel free to open a new issue).
