1.x: Random segfault when searching on spotify about mopidy-spotify HOT 8 CLOSED

Can you reproduce this issue if you downgrade pyspotify to 1.11?

If you installed with pip:

pip install pyspotify==1.11

If you installed with APT:

apt-get install python-spotify=1.11-0mopidy1

Yes it is reproducible with pyspotify 1.11

I can reproduce this with pyspotify 1.12 and 1.11 from pip, but NOT with 1.10 and also not with pyspotify from the APT repo (1.11-0mopidy1)
=> 1.10 (pip) and 1.11 (apt) did not crash yet. I tried a few thousand search queries so far.

update: 1.11 from apt also got a segfault now. Would be voodoo anyhow if it did not. But 1.10 still crash free so far.

https://pyspotify.mopidy.com/en/v1.12/changes/#v1-11-2013-07-01 had a lot of code cleanups, so if it can happen in 1.11 and 1.12 but not 1.10 this is likely something I broke when trying to fix the memory leaks in 1.10 and previous versions.

So my changes in jodal/pyspotify@69cebbe...5fe74fd would be the likely candidates

As such I should probably have moved this issue to pyspotify and mopidy-spotify...

I haven't heard of anyone else than you two having this problem over the course of three weeks.

If no, maybe it was caused by some Spotify service change that was fixed.

If yes, what's the commonality between your systems that everyone else[tm] doesn't have?

I cannot reproduce and no response in 16 days. Nothing I can do here.
