Hi Thomas,
This is from Tom Lane, Independent JPEG group (libjpeg). I have his
permission to distribute this code but is not authored by me.

Hi,
Chromium (open source version of Google Chrome browser) currently
ships a copy of iccjpeg.c as found in utils/jpgicc. Would it be
possible to "merge" this file into lcms2's public API? Or provide a
shared library just for this code?
The goal here is to avoid code duplication.Reference: Debian bug #747839, https://bugs.debian.org/747839

Hi Marti,
I understand that the code is not from you, but what are your thoughts on including it in the public API of lcms2 (either by merging it or creating and distributing a second shared library)?

Thomas

Hi Thomas,
I've reviewed that, and this file is specific to JPEG. LittleCMS is agnostic when regarding to graphic file formats, so adding JPEG functionality makes no sense at all. jpegicc intends to be just a usage sample, and it is not part of the lcms engine.

Hi Marti,
thanks for the explanation - I have to reflect a bit on how to deal with the query in Debian.
