You need to use REGISTRY_URL environment variable instead of REGISTRY_HOST and REGISTRY_PORT.

Do you have some proxy between docker registry container and web-registry?
Can you provide logs from your docker registry container?

I am connection through HAProxy. This does appear to be the problem, as I redirected it past the proxy and it connected fine. I'll dig into this some more and see if I can figure out what the issue is.

Can you try to remove 'http' from line RestService.groovy:58 and try on your system to confirm this?

I just tried the fix recommended (I assume the line number has changed since the comment - I actually change lined 64) but I get the same issue, even if it just tries https.
