Acro mode control about flightgoggles HOT 1 CLOSED

In acro mode (rate mode), control inputs are applied as angular RPY rates and collective thrust.

Using the keyboard controller, pressing W/S increases and decreases thrust from the default hover thrust (9.81 newtons). Increasing thrust momentarily causes the drone to accelerate and gain upward velocity. Decreasing thrust back to 9.81N causes the drone to experience no net acceleration and will keep it's current upwards velocity.

This is expected behavior. Rate mode has no altitude stabilization or altitude hold. That is the responsibility of the high level control loop or user.
