GitHub threw it out… but what I pasted into the issue that broke everything was this, as an HTML tag in angle brackets.
meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; url=http://blah.foo.com"
from tinyissue.
I'm kind of confused...you put the <meta>
tag in the body of an issue and it wasn't escaped properly?
from tinyissue.
Correct. I pasted in a tag like this:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; url=http://yahoo.com">
It renders like this after link detection:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; url=<a href="http://yahoo.com">yahoo.com</a>"><br />
The redirect is honored and I go to this nonexistent URL after 2 seconds:
/index.php/project/4/issue/%3Ca%20href=
from tinyissue.
Ok, what seems to be happening is that the code that auto-creates links is doing that with your <meta>
. At this point I don't think there's anything you can do...
If you don't mind me asking: Why are you putting a meta refresh in the issue body text? (just out of curiosity)
from tinyissue.
Some code I am trying to work out uses this meta refresh tag, and it was being discussed in the issue notes.

Ok, that makes sense! But, until some more sophisticated formatting is added I don't really think there's anything that can be done.
