@objectkit Nah dude, everyone is welcome. No laughing needed :)

So, the general approach is to use chrome dev tools to inspect the dom to figure what's happening with all the css stuff.

Specific to active line, there are a couple of things.

  1. CodeMirror-activeline
  2. CodeMirror-activeline-background

Play around with the inspector so that you can see those two in action.

Thanks for getting back to be Miguel! Don't have a developer version of Brackets, just the version I downloaded from Adobe. I did try showing developer tools via the Debug window, but not much relationship between that and the Brackets windows I had open. Assuming that the Debug window is essentially Node biased.. haven't really investigated. I've taken a screen shot that shows the activeline with white border. I've tried setting border to 0px, border-color to transparent etc via active-line and active-line-background to no avail. It must be another rule imposing the white borders but sincerely can't find it. If nothing strikes you, please ignore- I'm just being a picky colour schemer! Maybe a link to how to use chrome dev tools to inspect a Brackets window and I could investigate from there? Only if its handy! Thanks again,

@objectkit, if you want a really simple solution, you can turn off the Active Line Highlight. Just click on View > Highlight Active Line to toggle it off.

Anything beyond that would probably require someone doing a pull request that updates the specific theme. You can also change the CSS yourself but you will need to dig into the Themes extension code to do that. You can open the extensions folder by clicking on Help > Show Extensions Folder and see where the extension code is located.
