I believe I fixed a problem last Friday which also fixed this. This should work again in our newest Insiders build.
In the meantime you can still use the split feature by right clicking on a tab

I didn't know about that work-around before, but that does work on the broken version -- Thanks!

Trying the Insider's version next...
