Intel RealSense SR305 about gestures-samples HOT 6 CLOSED

@dzoech, we currently only support the listed models. SR305 is not in the list. We currently have no plans to expand this list.

I'm aware of that list. According to Intel the SR305 is just the same camera as the SR300 but with a different case. Therefore, I think there should be no technical limitations.

Is there a way to test if the SR305 works? As it seems the list of "functioning" models is hard-coded in your library.

I don't see any reason it shouldn't work but, as you say, the list of supported sensors is indeed hard-coded and, regretfully, we plan no new releases in the upcoming future.

Since I'm not very proficient with the project gesture library nor the SR300/5 could you give me a hint how I might accomplish enabling the SR305? Like, how are you checking what sensor/camera is connected?

Moreover, am I correct in the assumption that the library's source code is not open-source?

You are correct, the source code is not open. Unfortunately, I don't see an easy way to add support for a new sensor without access to the code.

You might be able to hack your way to some of the configurations in the compiled code (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Prague\PragueVersions\LatestVersion), but this is a long shot...
