Hi,
if you check current master (7347340) you can now at least configure the maximum icon size of the dock. Keeping icon size really fixed would require a way to handle the situation in which the dock size becomes bigger than the screen height. The dock extension doesn't do anything for this, if I remember correctly. The only way that comes to my mind to deal with this situation is making the dock scrollable (like unity), but actually I don't like too much this idea.

Hello Michele,
I've tried current master and it's working like a charm. Regarding the case when dock becomes bigger that the screen height: if you don't like scrolling i can suggest following scenario: group apps by some key (i know that .desktop files contains category for example) and collapsing them into one icon; then after clicking on this icon the list of apps will be shown. However this approach doesn't solve issue because there may be a case when there will be more groups than screen height. Also it's important to find right key for grouping.
It's just a first thing that came to my mind.

Michele,
One question: is it possible to change position of the dock? Right now it is not in center but in top half.

With commit 016193c4b4d45ad54d24e038207b4256e0bb71db you can now center the dock if you want.
