I wish I had one of those CPUs for testing...

This time it's not as obvious as before. The routine in which it crashes is not fancy at all. I reckon the crash goes away if you specifiy --pack-metadata=none.

Could you please try this version that's built with gcc instead of clang? mkdwarfs-0.5.0-gcc.gz

Ah, don't worry about testing the new binary (it likely won't work), I think I've found the issue. A new library I'm using sets -march=native in its Makefile and that's obviously a bad idea for statically linked binaries...
