hi @mhewedy thank you for following up,
as my question, how can I debug to see what's wrong with the extension on my chrome?
here's my chrome version "Version 66.0.3359.181 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit)"

after look at the code,
and try to see the inspect on chrome.
I think one of the problem is because of the font awesome of the menu, it's failed to download:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED 840a321d95.css:1
will try to fix this (the connection) first.

yes, correct, the problem is network issue, can not reach fontawesome CSS hosting.
you can close the issue. thank you.

@oonid, may be we might self-host the fontawesome css files. might consider this in a future release.
