It might be some dom changes made at safaribooksonline.
Can you please send me the generated dom of the page? ( right click inspect element, then select all elements and copy and paste in some file and attach here)

You are talking about the new website, not the old one? correct?
Because the icon appears to my non-signed in account.
However, the dom in my case is different than you (don't know because I am not-logged in or because I am in a different location)
BTW, I did a quick fix right now and released to v1.7, hopefully it will return make the
