Well strings are sort of "supported". They are just C style strings. You need to write your own conversion functions, from JS strings to byte * null terminated strings. I would just write a function byte * fromString(s) { ... } that malloc's some memory and copies over each string character. You can do the same thing if you want back a JS string, so toString(byte * s) { ... }. This of course means you also need to implement your own string manipulation functions like strlen, strcpy, strcat ... etc.

Ok, thanks. I'm writing a game engine with LLJS and I have a few other small questions. Are github issues a good place to discuss this or should I pursue and IRC channel or mailing list?

This is a pretty good place to discuss these issues. I'm sure lots of bugs will come up, and this is a nice place to track them.
